Worship

Sundays-6:30 pm-7:30pm

On Sunday evenings we gather together for a time of worship, learning, prayer and fellowship.  An HCM worship service follows a routine that allows individuals with disabilities to participate and feel comfortable.  Some individuals consider this their church, for others it is an extension of church- much like a small group.  We connect with individuals who attended church as a child and are reconnecting.  We are a faith community that supports one another and shares the love of Jesus with each other.

We welcome visitors!  Here is an outline of what you can expect if you visit us on a Sunday for Worship Group:

  • Opening Song
  • Words of Welcome
  • Opening Prayer
  • Time of Praise (Individuals love to choose their favourite songs!)
  • Learning Time:  includes hands on learning from the Bible
  • Praying for Each Other:  a time of sharing
  • Saying Thanks– giving offering
  • Circle Blessing

We close each service by gathering in a circle and holding hands– it is an important gesture and final picture.  We want everyone to leave having seen, heard and felt connection with one another and with God– we are ALL a part of the body of Christ and we ALL belong.   As a closing we encourage and bless each other with these words:

My friends may you grow in grace

and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour

My friends may you grow in grace

and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ!

To God be the glory, now and forever, now and forever

Amen!
