About Hope Centre Ministries:

Hope Centre Ministries (HCM) is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing care, belonging, and spiritual growth opportunities for individuals with disabilities in Winnipeg, MB. Our programs foster connections with God and others, encourage faith exploration, facilitate learning, and promote community service. We offer a variety of programs, including Friendship From Home (Zoom Bible study), Community Sunday (worship gathering), parent support groups, Mid-Week Meets (community meet-ups), Toonie Tuesday (summer program), and are excited to launch The Raw Carrot Winnipeg, a social franchise providing meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities.

Position Summary:

Join the HCM Summer Ministry Team and be part of a dynamic and rewarding summer experience! As a team member, you’ll collaborate with fellow students and HCM staff to contribute to the planning, execution, and support of our summer programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop valuable skills in program planning, communication, event coordination, and inclusive ministry, all while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

Key Summer Team Activities May Include:

  • Collaboratively assist in the planning and execution of Toonie Tuesdays (weekly evening program) and Mid-Week Meets (community park gatherings).
  • Work as a team to create and organize engaging games, activities, and resources for summer programs and the Summer Kick-Off Retreat.
  • Provide hands-on support during program events, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
  • Help with program logistics, including setup, cleanup, and material management.
  • Provide marketing and advertising support for The Raw Carrot Winnipeg social franchise.
  • Offer hands-on support in food preparation and cooking for The Raw Carrot Winnipeg, working alongside individuals with disabilities.
  • Assist in the development and design of curriculum and resources for year-round programs.
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging social media content, posters, market displays, and welcome kits.
  • Support special projects, such as creating special kits, working with individuals 1:1 as needed, data entry, and creative projects like the donor calendar.
  • Help with feedback/needs surveys.
  • Work collaboratively with HCM staff and fellow team members, contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.

  • Must be under 29 years of age (as per grant guidelines).
