Hope Centre Ministries has a variety of opportunities open to serve and participate in summer programming.
Volunteer opportunities
We are looking for people to volunteer on Tuesdays and Thursdays (8:30am-3:30pm) for our summer programs.
If you are interested in volunteering any combination of days in the months of July and August/ know anybody who would be a good fit (or would like more information) please contact us!
(Note: you do not need to commit to every week and you can pick and choose which program suits you, let us know which dates work for you!)

Programs
Tuesdays
This program is for youth, ages 12-15, with disabilities. This program offers a fun opportunity to meet new friends and grow closer to God. A typical Tuesday involves a time of devotion, games, crafts, a service project, and other fun activities. Registration is open Tuesdays (9:00am-2:30pm) for the months of July and August.
Wednesdays
This program is for young adults, ages 16+, with disabilities. This is a recycling program that gives participants the opportunity to gain work experience, work alongside new friends, and earn some money.
Hope Centre collects used coffee pods that would otherwise be thrown in the trash, on Wednesdays the recycling program is in charge of taking apart these pods and separating them into recycling, trash, and compost. Registration is open for Wednesdays, June through August. There will be a morning shift: 9:00am-12:00pm and an afternoon shift: 1:00pm-4:00pm
*participants from both shifts are welcome to eat lunch together: 12:00pm-1:00pm*
Thursdays
This program is for young adults, ages 16+, with disabilities. This volunteering program gives participants the opportunity to serve their community, alongside others, growing in relationships with new friends and serving God.
A typical Thursday will involve volunteering somewhere in Winnipeg and also working on community projects here at Hope Centre, such as making laundry soap for Siloam Mission and knitting blankets for the humane society.
Registration is open for Thursdays (9:00am-3:30pm) for the months of July and August.
