Our kitchen in Winnipeg may not always have every flavour available, as we are still growing. New varieties are always in rotation. We will share what is in stock through our monthly emails, along with special Soup of the Month releases featuring limited-edition flavours you will not want to miss.

No. The Raw Carrot HCM is an inclusive social enterprise and does not require employees to belong to any specific faith or religion.
While we operate under the umbrella of Hope Centre Ministries (HCM), which is faith-based, we want to be very clear:
A statement of faith is NOT required to apply for employment with The Raw Carrot HCM.
Our hiring decisions are based solely on an applicant’s fit with the program criteria and job requirements.
The Raw Carrot HCM is a part-time employment program specifically designed to support individuals who are facing significant barriers to employment.
Our ideal candidates are typically those who:
Live with disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
Are currently under-employed and not participating in full-time/organized school programs or other government-funded day programs.
Require a supportive, predictable, and routine-based work environment.
Note: The Raw Carrot is intended for individuals who have limited traditional job opportunities. It is generally not designed for applicants who have a history of successfully maintaining multiple, sustained competitive employment positions.
We use a structured, supportive, and multi-step process to ensure the role is the right fit for the applicant’s needs and that they feel safe and secure in the environment.
The hiring steps are:
Application: Submit a resume and cover letter. The cover letter should state why you would like to work with The Raw Carrot HCM and why you believe it is a good fit for you.
Interview & Assessment: Candidates participate in an interview that includes a Personal Skill Assessment tool. This tool was specifically designed to help us identify individual strengths and support needs using a numbered scale, rather than a traditional Q&A format. Family members or personal supports are welcome to attend.
Paid Trial/Training (2x): Before a final offer, the individual will complete two paid trial shifts (one AM and one PM). This allows the applicant to experience the different skills required for each shift, and for us both to assess the fit.
Self-Assessment: A final self-assessment is completed after the trial shifts.
Offer of Employment: A final offer is extended to the successful candidate.
Ensuring fair and transparent compensation for our employees is a top priority for The Raw Carrot HCM.
Wage Standard: All employees of The Raw Carrot HCM are paid minimum wage for their region, plus an additional 4% vacation pay.
Payroll Management: As a program of Hope Centre Ministries (HCM), payroll is centrally managed through HCM’s administration.
Third-Party Oversight: We utilize Payworks, a professional, third-party payroll processing service, to manage all employee accounts and ensure accuracy and compliance.
Payment Method: Employees are paid two times per month via direct deposit into their personal bank accounts.
