šŸ²Ā Big News for Winnipeg: The Raw Carrot is Sprouting at Hope Centre Ministries!Ā šŸ

At Hope Centre Ministries, our core belief is this:

Every person possesses unique gifts that enrich our community.

This isn’t just a sentiment; it’s the driving force behind everything we do. In every program and heartfelt connection, we champion individuals with disabilities—ensuring they are seen, valued, and celebrated for the beautiful ways they reflect God’s love. Our programs foster spiritual growth, creativity, learning, and meaningful contribution.

A Bold Step: Launching a Social Enterprise

For some time now, a powerful question has been resonating within Hope Centre Ministries—especially as we developed our latest Strategic Plan:

What if we could create a social enterprise to further empower our community?

We know many in our community face significant barriers to employment. We also know from countless prayer requests that having a job—purposeful, meaningful work—is one of the deepest desires expressed by those we serve. A social enterprise offers a tangible solution: a place where individuals can learn, grow, contribute their talents, and secure part-time employment with dignity and purpose.

Introducing The Raw Carrot: A Recipe for Change

Enter: The Raw Carrot, an inspiring social enterprise with a proven track record of providing meaningful employment for individuals on the margins, particularly those living with disabilities. Since 2014, they’ve cultivated success across five locations in Ontario. And now, with immense joy and guided by prayer, we’re thrilled to announce:

šŸ“ Hope Centre Ministries is launching The Raw Carrot Winnipeg – the sixth location and the very FIRST outside of Ontario!

Joining a Movement: Strength in Partnership

We’re not starting from scratch—we’re joining a movement. As a proud franchise location, The Raw Carrot Winnipeg will benefit from The Raw Carrot’s 11 years of invaluable experience, expert operational guidance, and tried-and-true (and tasty!) recipes. This partnership ensures a strong launch, with training, mentorship, and a shared mission for impact.

Our Kitchen Home: St. Peter’s Anglican church Welcomes The Raw Carrot Winnipeg

While our team was dreaming of the aroma of small-batch soups made with locally sourced ingredients… we still needed one crucial ingredient: a commercial kitchen.

šŸ  Now, we’ve found our home!

We are overjoyed to share that St. Peter’s Anglican Church (755 Elm Street, Winnipeg) has generously opened its doors to become the future heart of The Raw Carrot Winnipeg kitchen. Their warm welcome, deep community commitment, and hospitality have created the ideal environment for this vision to take root and flourish.

Be Part of the Story: We Need a Site Manager!

But even a warm kitchen needs a passionate leader to bring it to life.

šŸ‘©ā€šŸ³ That’s why we’re seeking a dedicated Site Manager to champion the launch and success of The Raw Carrot Winnipeg.

This vital part-time position will be central to overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating our amazing kitchen team, and nurturing the inclusive, supportive culture that defines The Raw Carrot. With our location secured and plans in motion, now is the perfect time for the right person to step forward and lead this exciting endeavour.

Are you (or someone you know) passionate about social enterprise as a way to show God’s love in action? Do you have a heart for people, and perhaps even have a knack for organizing (especially when soup is involved!)? We believe this role is an opportunity to live out your faith, and we’d be thrilled to connect with you.
