At Hope Centre Ministries, we believe every person deserves a place to belong—a community where they are seen, valued, and celebrated. Amanda’s story is a powerful reminder of why our programs for people with disabilities matter so much.
“If Hope Centre Ministries’ programs weren’t able to continue, I would be very sad. I need a place to belong. Here, people look at me from the inside out. They don’t judge me based on the outside. That makes me feel valued and seen.”
Amanda lives with a disability, and too often she has faced judgment, exclusion, and misunderstanding. But at HCM, she has found friendship, faith, and a true sense of belonging.
A Community That Supports Growth and Faith
Amanda participates in multiple HCM programs, including:
- Bible Studies specifically designed for adults with disabilities, where participants learn, connect, and pray together.
- Community Sundays, where friends come together for connection, worship, and shared experiences.
- Retreats, offering a safe space for spiritual growth and fellowship.
“I try to read the Bible on my own, but it is really hard to understand. This is the only Bible study that is actually set up for me. We aren’t treated like children. We learn, we connect, and we pray for each other. When I need prayer for my health, I know people care.”
Amanda’s participation shows the profound impact these programs have—not just on her faith, but on her sense of identity, belonging, and community.
Hearts for Hope 2025: Why Your Gift Matters
Amanda has taken her love for these programs a step further—she signed up as a fundraiser for Hearts for Hope 2025. This campaign is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and it raises the funds necessary to keep all HCM programs running.
This year, we need to raise $50,000 by October 4. Every gift, large or small, directly supports:
- Bible studies tailored for adults with disabilities
- Retreats that provide spiritual and social growth
- Community events that foster belonging and connection
Without support from generous donors, programs like Amanda’s Bible study and Community Sundays could face painful cuts—taking away what she loves and depends on most.
How You Can Make a Difference
Amanda said it best:
“I’m glad I can help, but we definitely need more people who love these programs too!”
You can help ensure Amanda—and countless others—continues to have access to programs that provide faith, connection, and celebration of who they are.
Donate to Hearts for Hope 2025 today and make a tangible difference in the lives of people with disabilities:
Every donation helps us reach our goal and keeps HCM programs strong, growing, and accessible. Your generosity ensures that adults with disabilities can continue to learn, connect, and thrive in a welcoming community.
