An update on the bus YOU purchased!

Caroline is a faithful attendee of Sunday evening worship group at Hope Centre Ministries. She enjoys connecting with her friends and learning about God. Hope Centre Ministries supports Caroline by providing transportation to and from HCM on Sunday evenings. The ride to worship has often been painful. The bus we had was designed for school use. It was hard to climb up the stairs…and there wasn’t room for her wheelchair. Once on the bus, it was hard to get comfortable. The noise on the bus made it difficult to hear other people or participate in conversations.

Because of caring people like you, this is no longer the case!

Thanks to you, HCM was able to purchase this accessible bus on April 10, 2019. Caroline can now access the bus without having to climb the stairs! Caroline’s friends also like the bus. The seats on the new bus are designed for adults and equipped with seat belts.

Thanks to you, transportation at HCM is safer and more dignified. On its first official trip (May 5) people commented on how big and quiet it is! Thank you for making this happen. At the end of May, we are able to support someone coming to retreat. Without access to our bus, the wheelchair transportation needed would cost her $500.00. Thank you for opening up these doors and ensuring that people feel safe and comfortable.
