Fall Plans and Updates

Friendship From Home: Currently there are 6 different Bible study groups that meet weekly on line. They combine live teaching via Zoom and pre-packaged participation kits. Our first Fall study is “Mary Magdalene’s Journey.” Through this study, individuals will learn how Jesus completely transforms lives and how being a true follower of Jesus involves gratefulness, giving, and dedication. Your support is helping to produce future units such as: Names of Jesus, Jonah, In the Garden, Peter, and more.

HCM Community Sundays: Beginning on October 23, these in-person gatherings will include both worship and fellowship. We hope this becomes a monthly, community wide event that provides meaningful ways for individuals to connect with God and others. Thank you for helping people with disabilities find spiritual care and belonging despite rising costs.

Shellie Power Executive Director, Hope Centre Ministries

This Fall we recognize that the story of “Hope” which has become Hope Centre Ministries began 50 years ago in 1972! To mark this milestone we’ve re-designed our logo and will be sharing glimpses of our history through a series of 50 posts shared on social media. The AGM planned for next May will provide opportunity to celebrate in person with the wider support community as well as share the plans and goals for the next season of ministry.

Hearts for Hope is a brand new peer-to-peer fundraiser in support of HCM that is now taking the place of Ride for Refuge. Although the name has changed, the concept is the same: caring people, working together to help build a more inclusive world for people with disabilities. This is a wonderful way for churches, small groups, and families to support the life changing work of Hope Centre Ministries.
